The Lao Nationalteam start to prepare the Big Tournament in December. Host of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 will be Indonesia and Vietnam.
Most of the Players in the Nationalteam are the same strong team of the Sea Games last year.

The 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup (also known as 2010 ASEAN Football Championship) will take place on 1 December to 29 December 2010. Indonesia and Vietnam will host the preliminary stage from 1 December to 7 December 2010 for Group A and 2 December to 8 December 2010, for Group B. The semi-finals will be played home and away with the first legs on 15 and 16 December 2010, and the second legs on 18 and 19 December 2010. The final will be played over two legs on 26 December 2010 and 29 December 2010.[

Qualification will take place in Laos, schedule from 16 October to 24 October 2010. The four lower ranked team Laos, Cambodia, Philippines and Timor Leste will battle for two spots to the finals.However, the qualification held without Brunei, which its governing body was suspended by FIFA due to government interference, this barring them from the competition.
