You are Thai but you don't know where you came from? Your government don't bring out the true of your country's history to teach at school for new generations to know. The true was after Siam changed to Thailand, Chinese were controlled 99% of Thailand economy and politic power, then they pushed the original Siamese or other name Thai people to the corner. The true was Siam or Thailand lost the country to Chinese, they take over and control every thing, lucky the Chinese don't change the country name from Thailand to other name like Taiwan they had done for Taiwan. When it come to a history of Siam (Thailand) I' ve never buy it. Because they make things up, They invaded other Anachaks and they take possessed of someone else's land and stuffs as their own. When we learn a history, like: Laos, Cambodia, Burma, and Vietnam. or Malaysia, Thai history is so different from other Asians, Why ? Actually the history of Malaysia is also inaccurate, and starts only around 1500 ad ? What happened before that ? Goverment doesnt wann tell. One former history teacher went publicrecently with the inaccuracies/untrue facts in our local textbooks.Guess this kinda thing happens alot in our region. Just adding my 2 cents worth.
